funny. the last time i wrote on my blog was in sept 2007 and now it's the new year with new year resolutions and a new focus in life. i spent my new year's being sick in lousiana, watching the ball drop in times square on tv. but what made it great was that i had wonderful company :) <3


winter break was eventful. the first week was in bloomington, il and i spent the rest of my winter break in lousiana. it was my first time in new orleans. french quarter is beautiful, food was awesome and the company is great :) <3 - mufellata at maspero's, seafood gumbo at cheesecake bistro, beignets from cafe du monde, po boys and texas toast. :) and the most entertaining of all is lambert cafe - the home of throwed rolls. it's amusing to have the waiters to throw rolls fresh from the oven halfway across the room.

the end of winter break means embarking into the winter quarter meant that it'll be less than 6 months before i would be forced to find a job and grow up. it's exciting. it's scary. it's stressful. it's a change. i NEED to find a job and it doesn't help my self esteem when everyone else around me has already received offers from companies.



i'm only taking 3 classes this quarter and for a change i have only 3 days of classes. but even though i have 2 other free days, it almost seems like i have classes every single day. the research i'm planning to do, working in the lab, group meeting for my classes consume quite a bit of my time. but thankfully i'm making a point to enjoy myself despite being busy. and of course my idea of having fun is having dinner parties with friends. :) food is good. and i just made my first ever cheesecake last friday - the ultimate cheesecake with blueberry topping. i didn't come up with the name but it's delicious. i consider it a success.
